Course Information
The Primo's 1/2 Marathon is a flat, point to point course. Starting in Danville you wind through commercial and residential streets. Between miles two and three there is a hill that gains almost 150' of elevation over a quarter mile (Contada Circle and Thornhill Road). After that it is flat as you continue through the residential neighborhoods of southern Danville. At approximately mile 7.5 you jump on the Iron Horse Trail for a straight shot south to San Ramon covering almost 3 miles before you enter Bishop Ranch. At that point (Norris Canyon Road) the course connects with the 5K course for the final 3 miles to the finish.
The 5K race and Family Fun Walk is a 3.1 mile course beginning and finishing in San Ramon.

When it states "School," what schools benefit from the run?
This race is a fundraiser for the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. The money that is raised is distributed to the schools in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. PTAs partner with us to get runner registered and they are also directly compensated for your contribution so be sure to include your school affiliation at that time.
If I register for the 1/2 Marathon, but do not run, will I still get a 1/2 Marathon medal?
The 1/2 Marathon medal is a "finishers" medal, so only registered runners who complete the 1/2 marathon course will receive the medal.
I did not run the race, but paid my registration fee, can I still get my t-shirt?
If you have registered for the race, please pick up your bib and t-shirt before the race. We have several dates to accommodate your schedule (click here for the t-shirt and bib pick-up schedule). Due to limited resources and staff capacity, we cannot mail your shirt to you.
